Fresh and hoppy IPA's, barrel aged sours, creamy stouts, crisp saisons, or eye-opening spice beers, Shanty Shack brews them all. Each beer is inspired by a unique experience, a season's bounty, or the perfect setting. Our tap list is constantly changing as we think of new recipes or find an oak barrel that is ready to serve. It is our hope that you discover new flavors and gain a deeper connection to the beer you drink with each visit to the Shack.

To our dear friend David Purgason who is a fantastic and passionate part of the Santa Cruz beer seen. He was badly burned on the job, but is now out of the hospital and on the road to recovery. To honor his longstanding work at many of the breweries around town, all of the Santa Cruz breweries are brewing his favorite style, a session IPA.
Ours is wet hopped with 100 pounds of Chinook hops from Monterrey County. Picked fresh the day before brewing, they impart an incredible fresh flavor and aroma that is only possible one time of year when the hops are harvested.
Money raised from pint sales will go to funding David's recovery. See all the Santa Cruz session IPAs at Lupulo on Wednesday September 20th.

Like drinking a piece of pie. This beer is packed full of olallie, a berry almost entirely grown on the central coast.
This kettle sour is tart without the pucker. The 210 pounds of raspberries give it an extremely fresh and mouthwatering finish. You might forget you are drinking beer.
Dark and roasty but smooth enough to liberate your blond-beer-biased palette.
Dedicated to new love in an uncertain time. Self doubts and joyous bliss circulating through time endlessly. Plucking petals with hopeful chance. But hey, if she loves you not, don't worry, we do.
Light and crisp, this classic Belgian style, brewed with lemon zest and coriander, is the perfect Indian summer quencher.
